About Us

Andrea Ploehn:

Hey everyone, I am the proud mother of three beautiful children. Annie 4, Brandon 2, and Ben 2 months. I have been doing American Sign Language for almost 10 years now. I have my Associates Degree in Elementary Education and a B.A. Degree in Organizational and Rhetorical Communications. I’ve always been fascinated by how the human race interacts and communicates. I’ve loved watching my children develop and learn verbal and non verbal skills of communication with the help of sign language.

I currently teach baby sign language in our community to parents with infants and toddlers. It has been so fun to share the knowledge I have gained through research and teaching. I’m excited to start the process over again with my new little baby and I hope that you can all follow along and have as much fun as I am with your own little ones.

Deborah Parrish:

I have been so fortunate to have the opportunity to be able to teach in many aspects of sign language. I have been teaching American Sign Language for nearly 20 years now. I have my Masters Degree in American Sign Language and Interpreting. It has been fun to see how the language of ASL is so beneficial to hearing infants and children. After watching child after child develop through the years I can honestly say from personal experience that the results of using American Sign Language with hearing children are amazing!

I hope you all make the effort to give your children this gift that will last a life time.
